Lynne Parkinson, PhD
I’m Lynne, a neuroscientist and health coach with a background in psychology and over 20 years of research experience.
I support children, parents, and families to make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface of challenging moments so that the everyday feels less overwhelming and more manageable. Rather than seeing children as “difficult” or “defiant,” I help you understand what might be driving what you’re seeing - whether that’s emotional overwhelm, stress, developmental stage, or unmet needs.
Together, we gently explore what’s happening, build practical ways to respond, and find a way forward that feels calmer, clearer, and more sustainable.
My approach is grounded in science and shaped by trauma-informed and neurodiversity-inclusive coaching, recognising that each child and family is different, and that support needs reflect that difference.
I work directly with children, as well as with parents, families and schools, helping each person feel heard, supported, and understood.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when things start to make more sense, we begin to respond differently -and that’s where there real change begins.
